'Mockingjay, Part 1' makes explosive debut with biggest opening weekend of the year at $123 million

The decision to split the final book in the trilogy into two parts was lucrative for Lionsgate. 'Mockingjay, Part 1' made $152 million over the weekend, accounting altogether for a $275 million global opening. "It's the biggest opening of the year, so it really illustrates the strength of the franchise," said David Spitz, head of distribution for Lionsgate. the film has packed theaters across the United States on 4,151 screens, making it easily the number one film on it's pivitol opening weekend. Finally, ever since the movie Divergent was released, its finally here. The Insurgent teaser trailer! The link to the trailer was leaked on accident by Divergent cast member, ashley Judd. The trailer features Shailene Woodley, Tris, with her pixie haircut and Dauntless Uniform walking in what looks like a demolished city, It then cuts to Tris's mom yelling to Tris as she gets lifted off inside a burning Abnegation building.

I think the teaser trailer kind of sucked. It doesnt relate to the book, and the script isnt correct. By that I mean Tris's mother is yelling "Tris!", calling her Dauntless name instead of Beatrice. The Hunger Games, 'Mockinjay, Part 1' was said to have put tons of pressure on the 'Divergent' series. Will it return big?
